Yes, it's a girl....

Well, most of you that have seen Liv, probably haven't seen her without some sort of bow or flower in her hair.  There are two reasons for that...1), I love bows on girls (the bigger the better in my opinion) and 2) everyone, and I mean EVERYONE where ever I go thinks she is a boy.  I do realize it is because she doesn't have any hair, but I could have her dressed head to toe in pink (which I rarely do, but maybe I should?) with a pink blanket surrounding her and still they call her a "him" or "he".  I really don't mind too much, I just laugh inside and think there are some non-observant people in this world, but that's okay with me. It happened again today but it was my own fault...I needed to run to the grocery store, I hadn't showered, didn't put a bow of any kind on her, and she was in chocolate & white sitting in her all black carrier.  I put her in one of those smaller shopping carts, I don't really know why, I just didn't need a lot of items and thought it would be easier to push that around instead of the huge cart.  That meant I had to put her sideways and as I began pushing, I realized it didn't seem steady so I needed to hold onto her the whole time, which was awkward to begin with while pushing the cart with one hand.  I never see anyone I know at the grocery store, but today I did.  It was a teacher from one of my schools over 45 minutes away, I hadn't seen her since before I had Liv and remember I hadn't showered and had run today so I was looking quite nice as you can imagine ;).  I had my back facing her and I hear "Is this your new baby?"  I turned around and realized it was her (she was one of my favorite teachers at this school).  She looked at Liv and said "Oh, um, is it.....a..." and to save her the embarrassment I quickly said "It's a girl, I know she looks like a boy, I don't have a bow on her today"  Poor Liv, remember, bows from now on....;)

We love her 'hairless' and all!

I don't promise this will be anything special but I do find myself spending much too much time looking at others blogs and loving every minute of seeing pictures, etc, of their family & life that I thought maybe family & friends would enjoy the same from our little family...we'll see how it goes and if I can figure all the little details out (I've already called Steph, my sis in law, three times to ask questions!)

enjoy

OK FINE...

...I gave in, I started a blog, end of story
